It's 11am and my sister still has the same diaper on fr yesterday. She is also complaining that her headache is severe. She pushed the call button for the nurse 45 minutes ago and is still waiting for a nurse. I called the front desk 3 times before anyone answered. I asked to speak with the social worker and was transferred to an answering machine. Because so many of her items have been stolen there i asked if I could place a baby cam in the room and that request was denied, they placed locks on her night stand instead.

Recently our friend was a patient at Country Villa Mar Vista for 4 days following a hospitalization.
My wife, a retired RN, and myself found this place to be very acceptable.
The facility was very clean and odorless and modern and well appointed and has a beautiful patio . Our friend said that the food was very good with choices.It is located in a very nice residential area of Mar Vista.
The staff was very friendly, competent and caring. They were very attentive to our friend's needs. We would highly recommend Country Villa Mar Vista. We both agree that we would be willing to be a patient there if need be.

I had to stay at Country Villa Mar Vista for about 3 weeks. The entire staff were excellent. I met extremely experienced CNAs who did their job professionally, efficiently and with kindness. Management responded to issues in a timely manner and resolved issues to my satisfaction. The Physical Therapy department is very good and effective. I had a great doctor as well who diagnosed my illness when other doctors could not. I would definitely recommend this Skilled Nursing Facility.

They mistreat and neglect patients. My father was only in the facility for 8.5 months and they've had 4 Director of Nurses in that time. The current one is Arlin and she is awful. I have witnessed her talk down and yell at elderly patients. She yelled at me when I asked for my father's medical file after he was abducted from facility. This still not been provided. DO NOT take your loved one here. They will tell you only need a Medical POA if this is your parent but then refuse to protect patients rights unless you have conservatorship. My father has been missing for over 48 hours now and we have multiple agencies and police departments looking for him. This has been a living nightmare and I pray we find him alive.

Country Villa Mar vista is horrible, my cousin was sent there to recover from a foot infection. He is a diabetic, and had to have his bandages changed once a day and maintain a diet conducive to keeping his A1c low, so he can heal properly in an expeditious manner.

These staff members denied him food to that effect. Even though they have it documented that he doesn't eat pork, beef or any red meat. They served him cold and fried food; Became upset when he sent it back and the culinary staff chastised the orderly and said that's all we have!

The administrator, Bill Arellanes has been made aware of the dietary restrictions and concerns of diabetics in the facility, to no avail! It seems he is feeding the wrong food to these patients to ensure they need more insulin and take longer to heal, ensuring more billing to insurance providers.

I believe this is considered fraud and is happening on a large scale in a strategic manner, at this facility. Beware of the diet they serve... we have pictures, taken temperature log and more documentation outlining the aforementioned. Do not leave your loved ones in the care of this facility....

Great professional staff. I met and interacted with the Josephine, Admin/Business Office Mgr, Marissa,Social Social Services Mgr, PT, Dietician, Insurance Mgrs on a regular basis to get updated info re my brothers care. Everyone esp the nurses were very caring & attentive.
I strongly recommend scheduling an initial meeting to discuss the care of your loved one to establish communication. Professional medical care is challenging.
We were very pleased with the assistance given.
We highly recommend Country Villa Mar Vista.

I went to the facility for a scheduled appointment which turned out to be a horrible experience for me as well as the patient. The facility was the most unorganized medical center I have ever been in. There is no direction or leadership and the bad attitudes run rampant, especially the employee Myisha. Such a disconnect for a position thst requires patient care common courtesy.

There are five exceptional human beings working at Mar Vista Country Villa. Therapists Lisa, Christine, David and social workers Dannia and Adrienne. I came in with the left side of my skull missing from a violent car accident and I left with my hope and confidence restored. That’s because the therapist Lisa, Christine and David are miracle workers. While we worked on physical exercises Lisa became a new found genuine friend, Christine related with her sense of humor, and David kept me fully engaged with stimulating fascinating conversations. Not only did I recover physically, I was revived mentally. Just as vital to my growth were social workers Dannia and Adrienne. Their full attention and resourceful process was equally matched by their heartfelt sympathy and patient voices. They went out of their way, giving me much more than I expected to make sure I was taken care of even after I left the center. I cannot be grateful enough for these five individuals who are personally and emotionally invested in my wellbeing. Thank you. I am now just waiting for the installation of my 3D titanium skull. Oh, and nice patio Mar Vista.
